It's not just the cost of the XLR, phantom, and mount. It's much more than that.
The HyperGain and HyperGamma, plus all the other features, make the Z1 much more of a "making movies" camera than the FX1. Both are great cams, but if you wanna "make a movie" that "Looks like a movie" then you want to have the Z1.

Way cool. Hopefully Ill be able to find a backer for my script and get a Z1 to film it with. That would be out of sight.
