Question? Event Length.

Hi! New to the forums and new to Vegas Pro 13. I had Movie Studio previously. My question is this. When adding events to my timeline. Is there a shortcut for extending an events time to the end of my project?

I have a piece of video that runs lets say 4 minutes and I want to add a logo "watermark" to extend the whole length of the video. I add my logo on a separate track, instead of scrolling the whole 4 minutes to match the length, is there a shortcut to achieve it? I know I can shorten the timeline and do it, but just curious.

Thanks,
Lou

If you're referring specifically to a logo, the default length for that is determined by the settings found in Options - Preferences - Editing - New still image length (seconds). Odds are that you don't want to change this though as it will affect every new still that you drop on your timeline.
A different option is to drop the logo on a new track on your timeline at the beginning of your video.
Switch to the Edit Details tab and choose Events in the dropdown box found at the top left of this tab. Find the appropriate event in this tab and change its time to 4:00:00 in the Length box.
Hope this helps.

Drop the logo on a new track and drag the right edge to end of the project.

For me the 'shortest cut' is to do as you already know - drag the end while the TL is zoomed fully out.

Exactly what I do and suggested Arthur. Going into menu will involve more more clicks and time it takes to use the mouse wheel, zoom out and then drag the end to the desired length.
