Question for SF Programmers re: Vegas 4 - Any plans for MIDI support????

You have one of the easiest to use, best sounding AUDIO programs on the market. Could you please add MIDI support to your next update. I, and I'm sure many other professional musicians would love you for it!

YES< PLEASE!!! That's one thing i never understood about Vegas, no MIDI!!! Acid 4 has it, why not Vegas??? Also, support for VSTi plug-ins as well! Gotta be able to use Waldorf Attack:o) I love this ptogram, it just needs MIDI & VSTi support!

Just add OPT, the midi editing plugins already exist! I'll be extremely happy!

VSTi support should come in there as well somewhere.

I know SF knows how to do this now... I've seen it in ACID!

whoever had that " scaleable" idea for vegas, I think its a great path to take!
purchase and unlock each part you need. Acid looping, Video, Midi, etc..

I'd like to see MIDI in Vegas but not a crap, "we're-not-trying-to-compete-with-the-big-boys, a "let Vegas-be-Vegas", "it doesn't fit Vegas' object model", "we're not trying to build a competitive sequencer here" Midi implementation like ACID has but a REAL one that professionals can really use, not just wanna-bes and bedroom jockeys.

I'm with you on that one. I would prefer the later, to have a REAL midi editor with ACID. Currently, I have 2 PC's running when I'm doing production on a song. 1 with ACID and the other with Opcode's Studio Vision. I run both PC's together with Midi Time code to sync ACID and Studio Vision together. This has worked out very well, but as everyone knows opcode went out of business, and now my midi editor of choice is stuck on a Windows 98 machine while the rest of my audio arsenal is going to the stability of Windows XP. I just upgraded to Windows XP and am really enjoying the solid feel of the OS, I haven't attempted to install Vision on it yet, but am highly doubting it will work. If acid would incorporate a midi editor with the capabilities of Studio Vision, I could elliminate the Win98 machine and get rid of the extra midi interface. My preference is to have it within Acid rather than Vegas, because Acid is more of my production tool, where Vegas is where I lay everyting off too and then do the editing and mixing.
