I just received a remote commander so I could program my TRV900 to pass analog A/V in and pass converted mpeg signal out the firewire port on into VV3. This saves me from purchasing an a/V to mpeg decoder. After changing 2 of the settings in NVram on the 900, it works great. Now, here is the problem I am running into: When I go to capture the A/V signal now that is passing through the camera and being converted, when I select capture video, it wants to start copying from the tape in the camera, and not the passed through video. It will not allow me to remove the tape and capture, as it is set up to copy from the tape. Is there a setting I can disable so that I can click on capture and get the firewire input without having the software try to control the camera playback feature? I am sure there is a simple solution, but havent stumbled across it yet.
