question regarding PAL

I was wondering. If I have video that was shot in HDV 1440x1080 60i NTSC. The project was also setup as above. and files rendered to 720x480 16:9 for NTSC discs.
If I had a client that then wanted it put to PAL as well, does this mean that I have to re-render everything from vegas in PaL then recreate the discs in DVDA in PAL?
Or Can I take my already rendered files from in the NTSC format and just create a disc in DVDA in PAL with those.
I am guessing that everything right from the start has to be redone in order for it to look right in PAL..
I don't have a PAL player so I don't know how it looks.
Will it look right if I just took the exsisting files and made a PAL DVD with them?

Nope, you're going to have to re-render.

Hi,

you may as well ask your client whether his hardware is able to play back NTSC disks. Many players over here in Europe have got an in-built conversion, called PAL60, i.e., they do a conversion of NTSC material and offer a PAL output (it's mainly a conversion from one colour space to the other).
