Once i imports my clips and put them on the timeline, how do i make a clip faster as in speed it up? I am a beginner so please write where i go and stuff, i appreciate it very much...i have a project due tomarrow and i need to know as soon as possible thanks so much, Nate.
Here you go...
1. Click on the track with the clip you want to speed up.
2. Go to the toolbar at the top of the Vegas screen and click on "Insert".
3.Go to "Video Envelopes" then to "Event Velocity" and click on that.
4. Now you have a blue line in the middle of the video track.
5. Click on the beginning of the specific section that you want to speed up until you make a little square or "point". Go to the end of the section you want to speed up and do the same thing.
6. Now you have the area selected. Make another click next to the "point" at the beginning and also the end. Now you have two points at each end.
7. Move the blue line up (between the inner points) and you will see a percentage sign with increasing values as you pull it up.
8. Play with this until you have the speed you want. Then pull the video file on the timeline from one end until it matches up with a little notch in the top of the video file. When you speed up a file it shrinks when you slow it down it expands on the timeline.
9. Right click on the video section you are speeding up. Select "Resample" and "Reduce Interlace Flicker" and close box.
Now, turn to page 159 in the Vegas PDF manual that came with your Vegas software. It's in the Vegas folder on your system C: drive.
