Question: Slim bars at top and bottom

Hello all! There is a very thin black bar at the top and bottom of my video when I render. It's not there in the vegas preview. How do I fix this? BTW, it's fullscreen.

Sounds like a little bug. First thing to try is to call up pan/crop, right click and choose "Match output aspect" even though it may show nothing in the preview. It seems to me there are some other things that show up on the rendered video that you don't see in the project preview. I guess your source video isn't a straight capture from an SD camcorder.

If that doesn't work you could use pan/crop to resize the video project size so that it comes out okay when rendered. Wouldn't be too hard if you experimented with short sections.

I sometimes see this if I convert HDV to PAL DV 16:9. Should be the same frame shape but somehow there are little black lines at the edges.

I get round it by checking the button marked "Stretch video to fill output frame size (do not letterbox)". It shows up when you select File/Render As.
