Quick questions from Vegas 5 user

Folks,

I realize I'm a little behind the curve on this, but I am only recently the proud owner of an HD video camera.

In the past I've done everything in SD with a Panny DVX100A and Vegas 5--they work great together.

Vegas 5--doesn't support HD video, right? Two more questions: Which is the first version to support HD and, is the earliest version that supports HD also adequate, in light of V8 ?

Generically speaking, Vegas 4 could handle "HD" since it allowed frame sizes greater than 1920x1080. Newer versions added support for more file types. However, if you can find appropriate codecs for the material you have, you should be able to open them in version 5 with no trouble.
