Quick Rendering Question....

If I render a 50 min. movie to an MPEG2 format it takes about2 hours.

Now if I view it and want to make changes such as replacing ONE transition
will it re-render the WHOLE movie OR JUST the transition I replaced?

It will rerender the whole project.

If you've saved any prerenders, this will help speed up the process as all the other transitions won't have to be rendered again. However, the conversion to MPEG will still have to be redone for the entire project and this probably takes longer than rendering the transitions.

With any flavor of MPEG, the entire movie will be re-rendered.
