Quick Velocity Question

Julius_911 wrote on 6/4/2003, 9:01 AM
How do I add a velocity envelop to the entire track? (video)
The manual only states the Insert Velocity on the event.

Bonus Question: Is there a way to display the velocity amount. I often put a few clips with slo-motion and can't see what velocity setting I picked, other than moving the bar (and often I end up messing it up).

Thanks

You can insert velocity envelope from insert menu or right click. You are not restricted to entire clip. You can use on whole video or few frames.

You can read off a Point valaue - rest cursor over the Point itself - yeah?

When at the Point, right click, drop down menu, and you get many options for the Point Value - one is to set to a specific value - neat eh!

yeah baby!!

I had to select the clips, then apply the velocity and viola. Thanks for the suggestion.

Grazie, sei in Italia?

If I can ask another question....How do I delete a pan/crop?

Go into Pan/Crop - Top of Window , see the preset menu - yeah? Do the Drop DOwn thingy - Select Default - Simple as that yeah?

Errmmm... you got the Manual for V4 - Its free and downlaodable?

Me Italian - nah! - It's a very old nickname for me - As in "Grazing" - you can work out the rest - oh . . that's not in the Vegas Manual - but one lives in hope - yeah,

Best regards

It would be nice to have a "remove pan/crop" button, but there doesn't seem to be one.

Delete all keyframes except the first one at the beginning of the clip, then set the first one to the "Default" preset.

Grazie: yep, read it and enjoyed it, got lots of little pointed wheels turning in my little pointed head ;)

It's been a long week of database programming at work lately though and only been taking timeouts to peek in here. Will probably respond in full tomorrow though. Thanks again!

And yes, vegasusers.com weathered the storm of an unprecedented 634 views of Mark's new video in the first 24 hours. The line just kept right on humming through it all. Amazing! I think i might actually start liking Time-Warner now :)
