Works fine here... Do you have Quicktime Pro ?

Quicktime Pro is not needed... but you MUST install the Authoring components to be able to render to QT within vegas.

When you install click the "Custom" option and select the "athoring components"

As you have already installed you should be able to add those components by running the Quicktime updater usually found here->
"C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QuickTimeUpdater.exe"

I've never had a problem rendering MOV files in the past with Vegas 5. The problem at the moment is that the program hangs if I go to the custom settings box. When I restart Vegas 6 after it hangs the first time I have now found that the custom settings then work, but the file renders out, but the sound is corrupted.

All the authoring components are installed. Its just that there seems to be a weird problem with Vegas 6 and Quicktime, on my PC at least.

Hmm, this is getting REALLY frustrating now.

I ran an update for Quicktime to see if that solved the problem, but to no avail. Vegas 6 is hanging every single time I go to the 'custom' settings for Quicktime rendering.

I tried just selecting one of the presets and rendering out from that. A 3 minute file set to render from a preset of 524x288 using Sorenson 3 and IMA 4.1 sound rendered out as an uncompressed 8gb full size file!!

What on earth is going on with this?! I never had any problems previously. This problem only seems to be happening in Vegas 6b. I've just tried Vegas 5 and Quicktime rendering works perfectly.
