Did you install the authoring components of Quicktime? I saw this happen once in Vegas 3 but discovered the authoring components had not been installed on that computer.

Thanks Ed- I just updated my Quicktime apps, saw that authoring tools were being added, but it still happens. No big deal, I'm not a huge Quicktime fan, anyway...

1. What version of Vegas are you running?
2. What version of QuickTime do you have installed? Have you tried installing all of the components from a custom install?
3. Can you provide some additional information about the file(s) you are having trouble with? For example, what information is displayed if you click right on the file in the media explorer and select Properties?
4. Do these .mov files play properly in the QuickTime player?
