QuickTime File Import

I bought the ScreenBlast Movie Studio for my son and loaded it on his laptop before he shipped out to the Persian Gulf last week. For some reason he isn't able to import Quicktime files from his digital camera. I went out to Apple's site and painfully downloaded the new player to his laptop with a 56K modem but that didn't fix the problem either. He really wants to create movie files while he's deployed but right now he can't do this. I tried it from home and it won't work for me on my desktop either...is there a trick to this?

When you installed Quicktime, did you do the normal default installation? If so then you didn't get the necessary parts of it. You have to do a complete install including the authoring components. You won't have to download anything more, just run the install program again and make sure you select everything.
