Quicktime help?

Can anyone recommened a good Quicktime rendering
configuration for the web? I've experimented a lot with
settings and cannot seem to produce anything more/less than
a 30-40mb clip for a 4 minute video... and it looks awful.
I'm convinced Windows Media offers the best "bang for yer
buck", but that isn't making my Mac visitors very happy.

I'm looking to keep 3-4 minute video clips (at 350x240) in
the 2-4mb range. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Quicktime using the stock QT compressors is not that great
IMO. However, used in conjunction with Sorenson Pro,
results can be excellent.

An alternative is rendering as WM or RM - both ahve Mac
players now.

Apparantly the best way is to use the quality setting
rather than setting a bit rate. That way you get variable
bit rate quality like Sorenson Pro, except you can't
determine the final file size.
