Quicktime into Vegas

I know this comes up a lot and I did do a lot of post searching, but I can't seem to figure out how to get these .mov clips in Vegas looking smooth.

The clips I grab from the Media Bin (after I right click properties and select alpha > straight unmatted) seem to play jagged, kinda like a strobe light. (Low frame rate- even rendered it out- it's still jagged playback)

I have QT and have downloaded the correct parts with the authoring mentioned in the list of things. It is version 6.5.2.

So, am I correct in saying that all I have to do is download QT on my computer? I don't have to do anything to Vegas with QT (like plugins?)

Thanks for any help! I am exasperated!

Jeff

You don't need to do anything more. But the question is, what is the source of the QT you're putting on the timeline? If it's a 12 frame or 15 frame file, expect it to have some jerk in it, or rather a semi-unsmooth playback when you render it.
Also, your system properties could have a bit to do with it on playback in preview, but not rendering. Can you post a stream (wmv) of a Quicktime jerking with the properties of the file listed somewhere?
