Quicktime Problem with V7.0b

Ok, been having problems with Vegas 7.0a and b crashing when I import quicktime files into the timeline. I have reinstalled both vegas and quicktime several times with no luck. When it crashes I get the following error.

Hmmm .. I have no such problems with v7.0b. My QT version is 7.1.

edit: To be more precise, it's 7.1.3.100

Quicktime version is 7.1.03.

Also, I don't have this problem at all in Vegas 6 which I am having to use.

I know of another NLE having problems with this ver. of QT. I would try another just to test.

I too am having problems with QT. After I went from Vegas 6 to 7a and then 7b, my QT files can't be dropped on the timeline. I have not had time to investigate yet, but I suspect that it may be as easy as reinstalling QT itself, since the error message states that it does not recognize that file type. I will try that later today.

Tech Diver - Vegas 6 needed QT 6, so if you only installed that it wouldn't work in Vegas 7. You need QT 7 with authoring components (a free download from Apple).

Also, if you know: Were these files created with a Quicktime 7 beta?
