quicktime render too short...

Please help. I have a project about 24 minutes in length. When I tried to render it as a quicktime.mov, it only did about 2 minutes of it. Yes, I had the entire project selected. On a related note. Does anyone know if a quicktime movie can be used to make a DVD in a mac with superdrive?
