Radeon 8500 Drivers?

I have read that the catalyst 2.2 drivers will crash VV 3.0c, I have experienced this. Before I upgrade to Catalyst 2.3, do they fix this problem or can I expect the same problem. If so, is Catalyst 2.1 the only drivers that work?

someone recently posted that the 2.3 drivers fix the Vegas incompatibility problem.

I updated to 2.3 and the 2.2 vegas problems (along with the 2.1 Photoshop problems) appear to be gone. Also (and I cared somewhat less about this) several lockup problems with my kids games which have been present to one extent or another in every previous driver version are also fixed in 2.3 (on my setup).

The catalyst 2.3 drivers work now.

My 8500 doesn't lock up my computer anymore with the new drivers.

Just installed the Radeon 8500 128MB card for dual monitor use. I'm having difficulty trying to get VV3 onto the second monitor. Can anyone help me? My email address is: snicholshms@aol.com.
