Hi statas,

Medeas are great and a raid may help, *if* you are using a real-time uncompressed output card like T3000 or Digisuite.

It is way overkill for DV media.

You can buy a LOT of WD 120GB drives for 1K (lowest price $56?), or spend the savings on a nice multi-head display card and other toys.

Yes, that is reported.

You might post the Q to DSE at the COW (creativecow.net), he has a bunch and can tell you how many will work reliably.
