Random Ringing Noise in Movie Studio 16 Platinum

There is an annoying ring sound that plays as a sort of error message. Whenever I try to delete text or use the arrow keys to go one space too far it plays.

Sometimes it stops making any sound at all when I do these things, and I was wondering if it was a glitch or a keybind that I've missed.

It's not that big of a deal, and I can deal with it. It just happens so often that if there is an actual way to get rid of it I'd be more than happy to hear it!

Thanks :)

If you can identify what triggers it and we can duplicate it, we can certainly help you out.

The main way it happens for me is

1. you create a text box

2. you delete all the characters in the text box

3. you hit the delete key again

4. the ringing sound plays every time you press the delete key

You can do it by going to type something and then hitting the arrow key down, when there's no new line

You can also go into add project media and when your files come up, click off to the side of it.

I don't remember what else it comes up from, but I'm sure there a bunch of other small errors that you can do to trigger it.

Again this is in Movie Studio 16 Platinum

Those all sound like standard alerts to me. I suppose you couldn't turn the sound off in Windows settings, but I don't know any way to stop the program from triggering them when you make an irregular move or potential error.

Nevermind it was actually just the basic windows error sound, just set the sound to none

Control pannel>hardware and sounds>sound>sounds(tab)>sound scheme>set to no sounds
