I made a song to put together with a movie I plan to make. I turned down the rate when I played this song and I liked the outcome.....so my question is this. Is it possible to save your song with the rate turned down? So the outcome will be what I hear when playing the original with a slower rate.

The rate slider ONLY affects preview; it has no effect on rendering.

In order to slow down the finished version you can hold the control key down and stretch the song out longer on the timeline. This will preserve the pitch by timestretching, which sounds pretty good for small changes up to 5 or 10%. If you'd prefer to have the pitch drop instead like it would by slowing down a tape recorder, right-mouse-button click on the clip, choose properties, check "Pitch change, lock to stretch"
