Thank you. Actually I found a good web site for doing this.
See STOIK.com. Downloadable softwares for changing several formats from one type to another;e.g. WMV to MPEG/AVI and vice versa.

Why wouldn't you use Vegas for this? It converts all the formats for the most part, as well.

I don't have Vegas. I have Video Factory 2.0 by Sonic Foundry and it doesn't do that. It won't even load the clips to the timeline. This is why I was looking for converter software.
