I can't seem find any information regarding re-downloading the MainConcept's MPEG 1&2 Plug in. My computer crashed and I had to replace the hard drive, was able to get Screenblast reloaded, but I don't want to have to pay for the MPEG plugin again. HELP!
When you installed Movie Studio 3.0, MPEG 1& 2 was installed -- if you didn't change anything it installs to C:\Program Files\Screenblast\Shared Plug-Ins\File Formats\MCMPEG.
To use Standard MPEG 1 & 2 you only need to register it, the first time you try to save to it. If you purchased the Professional version and lost the serial, simply call Customer Service and they'll help. People lose e-mail all the time.
Suzan, I guess I forgot to mention that I'm running revision 2.0a. The file folder you mention above is there, but I never get an option to register the MPEG plug-in. All I ever get is an option to purchase the plug-in. ?
Not sure about 2.0a. Try this: start the purchase and choose Purchase via Phone, you'll see a box the Activation code. Use your serial number (should be on the original MPEG purchase confirmation). You don't need to give any credit card or anything since theoretically you're on the phone to a CS rep.
You'll need to actually register it to get the Activation code, but that page comes up automatically when it try to save an mpeg and is no big deal.
