Re: DVD Architect help on Introductory media

Hi

It seems that there must be both a video & audio media files. JIn Properties ust specifying a video file with audio included just plays the video. Using the same file as both video and audio seems to hang the DVD Preview although the app still responds.

So, how can I render just the adudio then just the video of a section from a Vegas 4 project.

I know I could copy/paste to a new incarnation of Vegas but isn't there an alternative way?

Cheers

Just render the same file twice. The first time, use the Mainconcept MPEG2 Encoder with the Video Stream for DVD-A template. The second time, use the AC-3 audio encoder. The audio render is much faster than the video render, so don't worry about it taking a lot longer because it won't.

It's great that for every problem I think is difficult there's an easy solution with V4

You can put the same MPG or AVI file in BOTH the video and audio locations. This will eliminate the need to render the separate audio file.

Asa I said I had tried this but the clip refused to play after about 1/2 second. Then I found nothing played so perhaps something had gone wrong elsewhere. I haven't had time to restart DVD Architect yet as I am working on something else. I'll try again later.

Ya, in the introduction media selector, just point the audio at the same mpg file as the video and it will get the audio from it, no need to render seperately. The fact that it is stopping after playing is a separate issue, I remember some posts a month or so ago about that happening. Try searching in the DVDA forum? Anyone find the solution to the intro media stops playing issue?
