Re Jerky playback...

Subsequent to my previous post "Jerky playback ..despite " I have made the following discovery.

If I "Print to tape" direct from the timeline there is no jerkiness when playing back the the recorded DV through the TV.

If however I first "Render as *.avi" and then print the *.avi to tape, there are areas where the movie stutters.

I have tried a few times and the stuttering seems to be in the same place always.

I forgot to mention in my previous post that I was using NTFS

Does the pagefile size have an effect?. I have set it to 1GIG on the dedicated video HD as well as the OS HD.

Someone please..........help me

it sounds like a drive performance issue, but can you try rendering to a fresh hard drive to test? are you getting towards the end of the drive when you render?
