re: picture not perfect

i snapped a picture from the timeline and then printed it out
it looked like it had a filter on it - blury i checked-no filter
it was very very very poor quality and i was wondering if there is something i can uncheck that i am not aware of?
i restarted my computer and tried again - same thing
i tried a few other pictures - same thing
then i printed out a picture from a true jpeg - one my digital camera shot - it was picture perfect.
something must be checked in vv3 that shouldn't be - but what?
does anyone have a problem printing out timeline jpeg files?
thanks
sb

did you size the video preview window to project size when capturing the still?

i'm pretty sure i didn't because i'm not sure what you mean. sorry :(
how do i size the preview screen?
i can adjust the size of it by stretching the horizontal and vertical bars - is that what i should do?
but what size should it be?
and how do i find out the size?
sorry for my ignorance but i really want to take pictures and print them of dv footage i shot
thanks
