hey gang
i am finally after 5 months closing in on finishing a friends tennis video
first of all, plesae shoot me if i ever volunteer to shoot and edit a video like this again
that said, i am putting together the intro segment
i made music from acid pro3.0---what a great program!!!
i want to have some people flying round the screen and then in one part i want to have a rapid fire sequence of still pix to the beat
my question, should i flash each pix? or just rapid fire them?
i never made a video like this before so i don't want it to be cheesey
but flash may be overkill
anyway, i figured i would check in here first
it is 3:10...at 4:10 i will be hard at work
thnx in advance
cheers
sb

Hi sb,

I'd start with rapid-fire and see how you like it... if you think it needs flashes, you could layer 'em onto another track at the edit points.

Hi,
What is meant by rapid fire and flash? I too was wondering how you go about doing the "stills to the beat" thing.
SonicBoom, do you do this in Acid Pro? I just got Acid Music 3.0 and have not had time to play much yet, but at least I can now play all those 8 packs I've been down loading for the last year. WOW!
You really like Pro? Seems to be a lot of activity over in the Acid forum on 4.0.

Thanks!!!

i just bought acid pro 3.0 last week
i really like it
i made really cool music for my friend's intro montage
to put music to the beat is really ez
the "m" key sets markers
find the beat--then place a marker
next, just throw the video you want on each marker
more than likely you will have a lot of tracks
i like to mix it up and do the brady bunch tic tac toe thing for a few beats
then pic in pic
then black and white
etc
it's really fun and ez
make cool music and you are gold
good luck

OK cool! Thanks! Glad to hear you like Acid Pro 3.0
They don't seem to sell Pro 3.0 anymore. It automatically directs you to 4.0.
I guess I'll get 4.0 someday, but I better wait till the smoke clears.

I just thought of something. I'll put this musicvid a friend gave me that he DL'd from that morpheus site, onto the timeline. It has some of that rapid fire type stuff. I'll see how long the pics are shown accross time. Some are so fast....you can't remember what you just saw. BamBam Bam! This must take A LONG TIME to do, but it really does look cool.......considering the song.

OK have fun with your new toy!
Thanks man!

Another experiment you might try:

Laying down a few bars of markers, then change the timeline grid to beats and measures...

With a little tweeking of the Bpm in the project prefs (ruler page), you might be able to match-up to yer marks and get a grid you can snap to on the eighths, 16ths, or whatever.
