i may have to formate my computer once again!! argh!!!
the raw footage is superb - i have checked on dv camcorder and also hooked it up to my tv set
here is my problem
after i capture it in VV3, i notice a slight shakiness in the picture when people or the camera moves.
is there a setting for this?
i have searched for clues in forums
also, i have called sf tech support
nothing worked on there end - even reinstalling XP upgrade over existing one
i am willing to try anything so i don't have to formate again
i have XP
2 hard drives, both western digital 100gig
maybe this is somehow a sound card problem?
i have a delta 66 midimdan
any suggestions will be greatly appreciated
thanks all
sb

It may not be the same cause, but I had a very similar problem - shaky DV to tape playback, especially with fast motion within the frame.

After almost giving up, I checked all my settings and recaptured the same footage, and this time the same footage played back perfectly.

I still haven't found what was was wrong with the first clip (no dropped frames), but with the original faulty 1 min clip it took 3 min to render, whereas with the new clip it took about 4 sec!

worth a try ...
