Re: Split screen not working

Hi

A am adding some effects to improve the quality of the video footage and tried to use the Split Screen but all that happens is the left-hand becomes black and the right-hand displays the image after the effect has been added - not what I expected. Clicking on the arrow next to the Split Screen icon and changing various options makes no difference except I can change whether it's the left or right side that is black.

WHat may I be doing wrong?

You have to copy the original (what is now black) footage to the clipboard

I know how to Copy and paste to another part of the timeline but how do I do it to the clipboard. I assumed any copy action (CTRL-C) would automatically place it on the clipboard but I am still only getting black one side.

Thanks in advance

Hmm.. it was black for me too, until I started clicking on the preview window itself, and dragging a selection rectangle around... I have no idea what I just did but it's working now.
(ctrl-c definitely did not work)

Just above the preview window are two buttons for snapshots - one is snapshot to clipboard.

That's only if the split screen mode in the video preview is set to clipboard mode. It's other mode shows affected vs. unaffected video -- live, with no clipboard involvement. Hit the down arrow next to the split screen button and pick "FX Bypassed" instead of "Clipboard".
