re: Still no luck with DVD Arch 5.0 Blu rays loop

okay, i posted this once before with no reliable answer... I have always had good luck with Sony Vegas and Dvd arch when burning dvds...

My wife got me an LG blu ray burner.. firmware is up to date... I have successfully burned blurays in Roxio crator pro 2011 no problem... However i like the themes in dvd arch better and find it overall more flexible.

When I burn a blu ray though... it plays fine on computer, but when I play it on my Sony Blu Ray player (firmware up to date) it just goes to the main menu... when you selectany of the titles... it just loops back to the main menu again in a never ending circle...

It was suggested I use dvdarch to burn an .iso and then use a different program to burn the iso to dvd... which I tried... same result. I have used both my laptop and my desktop (it's an external blu ray) ..same result.... but this never happened burning dvds, dvd or dvd-dl

it was suggested it may be my brand of disk.. i have tried both memorex and verbatim... both burned successfully in roxio and play fine. DVDarch play on computer with all menus working properly, but not in the blu ray player... I had my brother try it on his playstation and he had the same problem also.

I even tried a complete reinstall... and have tried it with and without the upgrades. same problem.

Whoops sorry, misread your problem.

On the Player, when you select an option (using the ENTER key I presume), does ANYTHING happen before the loop, like a blink or flash?

As I have often stated - a test on a software player on a PC is not a sufficient QA test of the authoring process. YOU must always try to make it pass a set-top player QA test - and in fact, please try five or more different manufacturers of set-top players to rule out firmware and other anomalies.

Yes Dave2

Using the enter key on the remote.. it does blink.. just for a second.. like it can't find the file the link is attached to... I've checked the link in dvd Arch for the source media and it is correct... the "preview" in dvd arch prior to burning works fine too.
