This has been a recurring issue. SF, is there some chart that shows when to use Best and when to use Good when rendering out the project? There seams to be some confusion on this since I've heard that sometimes Good comes out better that Best.

i use to use good all the time
this lead to some jitters--which really frustrated me
i only render at BEST qual;ity now---and the jitters are gone
also, over the past 8 months i have made some multimedia (cd-roms) and vcd's
i use to use GOOD quality
my transitions were not smooth and the quality was marginal
today i tried again at BEST quality and it came out great
HEHE, i am not qualified to answer your question about when to use and when NOT to use best render
i am only using BEST now, and every project comes out great
if there is an instance to use good instead of best i haven't heard of it
for me, best is the way to go, it may take a little linger to render but the final result is definitely worth it

Can someone point me to where you set an option to Best for VCD?

I have just used the Tools-Burn CD-Video CD... dialogue box which (see my other posts) gave good results but no options to set quality.

Would it be better to render an MPEG-1 file to HD then burn using Nero 5.5?

Also, I am working on some analogue stuff as well as DV but not mixing the two. Would I get better results on the anaolgue if I render to SVCD.

On the same subject would I be better of rendering as above or using the Mulitmedia dialogue box and select MainConcept mpeg-2 for SVCD.

If all this has been answered previously please point me inthe right direction.

Thanks
