Hi all,

I have got i Matrox card Marvel 450eTV. This card allows me to acquire video and convert them in mpg files in real time.

Just 2 question.
1) it is possibile to force Vegas to use the capabilities of this card to reduce the rendering time?

2)a little bit out of topic for this forum but... the card aqcuires in PAL 702x576 25i, does anybody know if is possible to change this values to 720x576 and make the stream to be DVD compliant?

Thanks

Roberto

1. You can't make the stream DV compliant...
2. You can sent a PTT from Vegas out the Firewire connection to the input of the Matrox hardware card, and convert to realtime there. I've not done this with the Matrox, but have done it with other cards such as the Osprey. Works great. I can't comment on what the quality might be like with the Matrox at all.

Thank you Spot,

but Matrox G450 doesn't have a firewire input. I could try with S-Video connection, but since the final aim is a DVD and you are saying it is not possible to make the stream DVD compliant, so I think it is not worthing.

Thanks again
