Really newbie question...

I've looked through the help using event length, event duration, etc....and I can't find any help on this. I want to look at the length of a clip on the track without having to look at the begging timecode and the ending timecode and subtracting the two to get the delta. I see it will display the transition lengths, but how do I turn on or view the actual event's length on the timeline (i.e. 10.4 seconds). What am I missing?

Frank...

I suggest you download the User's Manual for the Vegas Pro version (http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/manuals/vegaspro). Some things won't apply to VMS, but just about anything that can done with VMS will be covered in the manual. It's many times better than the VMS manual.

If you double-click the event on the timeline, it will create a "selection" area the exact width of the event. The three little displays at the lower right of the timeline indicate the starting and ending timecodes of the selection area, as well as the width of it.

Tim L,

Thank You! That's what I needed. Never noticed the textboxes in the status bar at the bottom right.

Thanks for replying...I appreciate it.
