reason for Ignite pro V21 crash: region/language settings!!

Hi all

in another post I wtote about V21 crashing right on startup while processing the plugin factory. On recommendation of @Steve_Rhoden and @Reyfox I uninstalled the Ignite pro package and V21 opened without issues.

I then vaguely remembered something - I had this issue before and by a weird intuition, I tried changing various Windows settings.

And you know what - my language settings were set to English-Belgium instead of English-US!
I changed it to US and now Ignite works in V21.

Now that is a weird one indeed...but maybe it can help someone here with the same issue..

Thank you for this information. I will pass this on to our QA team and see if we can reproduce this crash. This is a very interesting scenario which could explain some other strange instability.

@Mindmatter wow, changing instead to English-US is a new one for me, really weird indeed.... But glad you oddly discovered that.

I thought I should mention that I'm using the Ignite pro 4.1 version. Not sure if the issue persists on the most recent version, ( V6 I think). By what I understand, I can't upgrade to that version, as the whole Ignite pro ecosystem seis discontinued.
Edit: the issue of the Ignite color grading plugins crashing Vegas I mentioned in another post is now also solved.

@Mindmatter glad that your problem was solved with Ignite Pro 4.1. The last version for sale as a plugin was Ignite Pro 5. After the Artlist buyout, and the promise Ignite would be improved, blah blah blah, they ended Ignite as a plugin for sale.
