'rec start' at head of every clip?

just used device manager to import 60 or so clips from ex1.

every clip on t/l has 'rec start' in the upper left-hand corner in a little orange/yellow rectangle at the head of it and if i click on fx tab in clip it also opens both fx AND pan crop.

it might well be a key stroke i did by mistake, but i can't find which one or where to turn the damn things off.

any suggestions ASAP please

Those are embedded media markers that the EX1 place in the media.

Use: View | Event Media Markers | Show Markers (Ctrl+Shift+K) to toggle them on and off.

interesting though, i don't recall ever seeing them before and ctrl+shft+k would, for me i think, take a mental effort ;-)
