Recapture and Offline

I have got problem of space. Is it possible to import the footage with low quality just for off line editing and after, recapture only the edited footage? I know it is possible to recapture the footage from the bin, but in that case, it recaptures the all footage.
So, can Vegas recapture from the time line?

Thank you in advance.

I don't think Vegas can do this. I know Pinnacle Studio has this option and it made sense back when hard drives were expensive but you can get a 120GB hard drive for around $89 which holds about 9 hours of DV video. Why go through all the trouble of capturing in a lower resolution and then recapturing later. Just get more storage and capture once.

You can also use the advanced capture option in Vegas to mark the in and out points through an entire tape and then have it go back and batch capture just the clips you think you need.

Any time you capture, re-capture the resolution suffer. No point to work on video with low quality.I just added 40G and pay $45.Get another HD.
