If it's a DVD, you have no choice but to use MPEG2. Render at 8000Kpbs if it's a "short," or of less than 45 mins in length, and you won't need to use AC3 for the audio, giving you a little better audio than you'd have if it were AC3 files. If it's a PAL vid, it needs to be 25.00 fps, and if it's NTSC, it needs to be 29.97fps. Any other frame rate will be changed at the DVD player so that it plays correctly on a television, and the quality of your vid will most likely take a hit if you use any other framerate, depending on what the contents of the video are.
If you have DVD Architect with Vegas, render to the DVD Architect video only stream, and then render a PCM or AC3 audio file. You can accomplish this with the Batching script that is part of Vegas 5, if you have Vegas 5.

Thank you....What about the lack trim around the screen i see in the preview. How do I get rid of this?

All I did was capture video from my mini dv camera... I haven't seen this issue in other software.

If I'm understanding you correctly, what you're seeing is the full frame of video. It will be "cropped" automatically by the television it's viewed on (each set will be slightly different), so it's a non-issue.

"Other software" isn't a good as Vegas! ;o)
