Recommended OS upgrade?

With the limitations of Windows98SE and the 4 GB barrier which would be a better path, step backward to Windows 2000 and NTFS or jump ahead to Windows XP when it arrives late next month?

I assume that XP will either support NTFS or maybe yet another new file system that supports huge volumes and mamouth file sizes. Anyone know, I haven't been keeping up on what's coming.

Wishful thinking: a Video Factory version than runs under BeOS native.

Personally, I'd stick with 2000. I've been looking at the the preview version of XP and there is nothing special in the way of new file systems. I'm using 2000 on my box with VF and am quite happy with it.

Plus, XP costs more and has the funky activation process so don't plan on putting it on more than one machine at home. ;)
