Record audio multi tracking?

Hi,
I would like to record audio (music and voice)in Vegas. I have managed to open as many audio tracks as I need but don't know how to record to individual tracks. I'm using a Delta 1010LT sound card which is great. I'm basically looking to overdub tracks and also record to several tracks at the same time. If anyone knows what I should do please help me. Thanks in advance,
Bush

By default Vegas uses Microsoft Sound Mapper to access sound cards - this will only give you access to one pair of inputs of your 1010, so the first thing you need to do is go to 'Options>Preferences' menu, then click on the 'Audio' tab. In the 'Audio Device Type' box change the setting to 'Windows Classic Wave Driver'. Click OK to confirm the change and close the preferences box.

Now add a few new audio tracks (Ctrl+Q is the keyboard shortcut).

For each of the audio tracks, right click on the track number (you don't HAVE to do it over the track number, but it's a safe place to click without changing anything!). From the menu that pops up, go to 'Record Inputs' and choose the input from your sound card that you would like to record onto that track. By default it will probably be set to 1+2.
