Record gapless cd with no gaps in the audio track?

When I attempt to pull a gapless cd into vegas, it places gaps between the tracks (I guess getting it ready for the next cd burn). Is there a way to pull it in as gapless or as an alternative, a way to extract it from iTunes or some other music player as it is playing? I know some audio editors have the ability to record "what you hear" but I can't figure out how to pull that into vegas. Any help would be appreciated.

Options | Ptreferences | Editing | Default time between CD tracks. Set it to "0 if that's what you want.

Alternatively set the ripping to 'whole disc' instead of individual tracks, and insert track markers manually.

As for Itunes and stuff, there is no point in playing and recording stuff if you can simply access thru computer file-system, and drag into Vegas.

Always better froom CD if possible, as quality is much better than data-reduced versions such as Itunes or MP3.
