Recorded audio is empty (Vegas Pro 17, Build 353)

I am using Vegas Pro 17.0 (Built 353) OS: Windows 10 Pro x64.
For recording I use Audio Interface M-Audio Fast Track Pro.

When I record audio during the video play, very often new audio is visible but there is no any voice. The recorded audio is with no voice. Empty recorded audio files appear quite often.

Did you try the switch "Normalize"?

I tried to it. But nothing happened. Empty files are still empty and it happends randomly. Could it be related not to vegas bit ro audio interface? Previously I used Vegas pro 13 with the same audio interface and there were not issues.

I don't know that, but you have to controle in the Windows settings for that audio device if the level of that source mixer is high enough

In the screenshot shown in the first post the audio media length is 0 seconds. So it seems it's not a matter of levels but either the record process itself is broken or the file recorded is broken.

For better input I added video screen record. The sound is captured by Vegas. You can see waves in audio file. But waves dissapear when I press "Pause". It happens quite randomly.

Here is recorded audio file 5-17.wav. I converted it to mp3

The voice do exists but Vegas recognize it as empty and does not reproduce the voice.
