Recording a Screensaver

I've got a couple of nice screensavers - Moon and Earth 3d Space Tour and I'd really like to get them recorded as avi files. They do use open GL. I'm having some trouble with Camtasia (screen recorder) since the frame rate I get is too slow (1 frame per second). That results in absolutely no smoothness. My processor is an Athlon 1.7 xp. Should I upgrade to a newer version such as the 3.0 barton? What can I do to improove frame rate (obviously hardware acceleration box cannot be uncheked in order to get a better frae rate). HELP PLEASE!

Thanks to all who took time to respond....very funny answers. I've just tried camtasia with an Atlhon - barton 3.0....
It still does not work out properly (despite of the higher frame rate - of course - than the one u get wtih an Athlon xp 1.7)
I'm about to try pentium 4, 3.2...What do ya all think?????

Play screensaver on a LCD monitor, record it with a good MiniDV camera. Simple as that.

I am sorry but I don't have an LCD monitor. I've just tested Camtasia with Penitum 4, 3.2 (not the extreme edition one). Same problem: video delay. Any other suggestions?
Thanks.

The only thing that has worked for me was to get a video card with a TV out port(S-video) and record it. Then capture it. All the screen capture programs that I tried gave poor results.
