i know this is a very dumb question but i have to ask because i am new to vegas.
what is ASIO driver? and what does it do? i am recording audio from a analog mixer for vegas project. i am using a sound card from Creative: SOund Blaster Audigy 2 Platium EX (model: SB Audigy (9800)). in the back of the soudn card device, it got L/R RCA input. i connect my analog mixer audio out into this RCA line-in to the sound card.
in vegas preferences/audio device tab/ i see variety of audio device type such as: Microsoft Sound Mapper, Direct Sound Surround Mapper, WIndows Classic Wave Driver, Adobe Default Windows 1.5, Creative ASIO, SB Audigy ASIO 24/96 (9800), and SB Audigy ASIO (9800).
Can someone please puhhhleezz tell me what sound device i should use to create excellent sound quality? or can i use soundforge 8 and record audio and import it into vegas? and if i use soundforge 8, what audio device i should use?
i would deeply appreciates your help.
thanks,
Bryant
