Recurring Error Message Causing Vegas Pro to Crash Despite Updated GP

Does anyone have any idea why this message keeps popping up and causing Vegas Pro to stop working? My GPU is fine, and all drivers are up to date. Vegas has been acting strange over the past few days. Here’s what my GPU looks like when the error message appears in Vegas.

A shot in the dark. When you update your GPU drivers, do you uninstall the old ones in Windows Safe Mode?

Which version of Vegas Pro are you using?

@Reyfox I didn’t uninstall the older drivers—I assumed it would automatically be ignored by the system. I’m using V22, the latest version, with all updates and AI early access.

Nice rig! More than capable for AI work in Vegas. But you would have to ask someone who has Nvidia and Intel about updating the GPU.

I've found that using something like Display Driver Uninstaller will do a clean removal of the old GPU drivers first, before you install the new one. It will reboot your computer into Safe Mode to do the uninstall of the drive. Then when you go back to "normal" startup, you would then install the latest driver.

I have an AMD GPU and use their Cleanup Utility to do just that.

@Nizar-AbuZayyad ok. I am out of ideas. Those that have similar hardware will have to add their thoughts.

You may need to reinstall your graphics driver. It looks like it is the latest Nvidia Studio version.

Also, make sure the correct version of .NET C++ Runtime is installed and functioning on your system.

Fun Fact: Every version of Vegas may use a different Runtime version, and all must be installed and functional, up to four or five versions.
