Red tinge on timeline video tracks

OK I am new to version 8 of Vegas (a long time holdback from version 5) and I am editing my first big project, with multiple cameras. I have noticed after sliding some video events around on the timeline, that some of my video clips were tinged red on the timeline with a red number on the left side of the audio (right now the red number is "+0.00"). I am assuming that this is some warning Vegas that there is something wrong with the audio. I am having a hard time finding any info on this "feature" and would like to know what Vegas is trying to tell me.
Thanks for any help!!
Erik

It indicates that you've moved the video and audio separately and they're not lined up (in sync) anymore.

so does +0.00 or -0.00 mean they are lined up, I have shifted left and right with quantitize to frames turned on and off and the red won't leave!!

note shifted video only while leaving audio fixed

You can right click on either clip and select "Synchronize", then chose "By Moving" or "By Slipping". Typically you'd leave the video where it is and resynch the audio. Watch that you keep the video on frame boundaries.

"By Moving" would be appropriate if you'd actually moved the audio slightly left or right compared to the video event -- it will move the location of the event left or right on the timeline to get it back in synch with the video.

"By Slipping" will leave the start and stop of the event exactly where it is on the timeline, but will slide the contents of the event forward or backward to line up with the video. For example, you might have an L-cut or J-cut where the audio intentionally comes in before or after the video change.

Thanks tim that got rid of the red tinge, basically not much had to be moved because each clip was off by +0.00, but at least I got rid of the red!
Thanks
