Redered MPEG2, no audio just video

I created a 38 minute movie, using jpegs, AVIs, wavs, and mp3s. I rendered it to MPEG1. It rendered perfectly with audio and video intact during playback in Windows Media Player. I re-rendered it in MPEG2 for higher quality and lost the audio. So I started the rendering over again as MPEG2 and stopped in about 5 minutes into the process. I tested the small MPG in WMP and it played fine with audio and video. So I'm wondering what is killing the audio when I render the entire video?

BTW, I did select the DVD NTSC. Not the DVD NTSC Streaming video without audio.
