Thanks for the link George. I haven't tried this out....actually not quite sure what it is yet. Looks to be a DX/VST Plugin that immulates a mixer channel strip. It actually looks a lot like Cubase VST mixer section. Is this a DX plugin, which allows you to control it with an external control surface? If it is, then this is exactly what Vegas needs for hardware control.....although the meters will be inaccurate being put in the Vegas Track FX insert. It doesn't mention any price for these plugins. Another thing that turned me off is the "dongle" copy protection, although it does give a USB dongle option....but if you get 10 seperate apps all with USB dongle protection, it seems like you have to move your PC another foot from the wall so you connect them all. Now try those USB dongle protections on a laptop and doing some editing while flying on an airplane. The guy in the seat in front of you will be POed, because you keep knocking him in the head from your 10 dongle pigtail protruding from your laptop.

Keep us updated George. It doesn't list Vegas as one of the supported apps, but it does list Sound Forge....probably because everyone thinks Vegas is just a Video editing piece of software, and doesn't bother to check it out. So did you find out yet if this able to be controled by external hardware control, it makes a reference to that on one page, but nowhere in the specifications does it state it?

You should have a look at www.wavearts.com they do a similar kind of plug-in called trackplug which is much less expensive than this striptool and very high quality.

Yea I beta tested Trackplug it is very cool and it has DX FX automation.

Yes the Trackplug is very nice as is their Masterverb. Also, Wavearts recently announced that they are discontinuing their challenge/response copy protection saying that they would rather act in good faith and trust that their customers will do the same and freely admit that all the sophisticated protection in the world won't prevent those who want to steal their product from doing so. This kind of policy insures that I personally will remain a loyal Wavearts customer (given that their product remains good ). I wish more companies would follow suit!

I'm wondering how this would be better/different than having Waves REQ, RCL, R?? concatenated as track effects (pretty much my standard configuration). Hard to beat the sound of the Waves plug-ins and I don't really notice any overhead issues with them.

I agree with that mentality and is a reason why I prefer sonic Foundry's software. No hastle registration process, No dongles, No Pace Interlock running under my OS. No matter what copy protection method you use, someone always seems to crack it and it actually makes the cracked version more attractive than the legitimate version, because you don't have to deal with "challenge responses", "dongles", or "Pace Interlock". Therefore, the only one it's bothering is legitimate users that buy it. I had found a website awhile back and sent out a mass email to all the software companies hoping that maybe someone would shut down this warez website, because they're actually selling and profiting from their hardwork. It's still up and running, you can get the Waves 3.0 plugins $20...you name it, it's there. WWW.WAREZSTORE.COM. They even except credit cards...LOL!! Just who I would want to give my credit card number too...someone that steals from someone else...yeah right. :-)

Yeah, you think if I sent a mass email to Sonic Foundry, Cakewalk, Waves, Digidesign, Antares, Steinberg and Pace Interlock..and all their products appear on this page..you think someone might have a way of shutting this site down, to stop them from stealing from them. You see though, there's all these audio companies paying Pace Interlock a butt load of money for their copy protection....which then get's passed onto the consumer and as you can see "Antares and Waves", their software is already cracked which both have the pace-interlock copy protection. Maybe if Antares didn't have to pay "pace interlock" then I might be able to afford the latest version of Autotune or maybe just go get it from Warezstore.com for $15? Well, I tried to assist.
