reformat your hard drive vegas 6 lost

hi
i had to reformat your hard drive after some nasty drive by fake program
called winpc , heres what happen some time ago i backed up my download copy of vegas 6 , but in doing so my dad said copy it over to a disk and .......i didnt burn it over right ...... i am close to tears and heres what else is going on

bad news part 1
it goes to load and this comes up media manager inialzation failed and something about nuvtawin .dll and microsoft visualc ++ runtime library and nuvtawin.dll

part 2 bad news
it open with all the errors screens and when i go to load a mpeg i cant drag it
into the time line
please anyone what can i do ........and i cant even use the demo of vegas 9
any idea what could be going on ....did i lose anything in the reformat ? and i never knew i would thing this would ever happen

a. have you done a clean install of your os (which?)

b. have you installed .net

c. the more we know, the more we can help.....

Go to My Account>My Software (top of this page) find your Vegas 6 entry and click link to download. A clean install should solve your problem. I think V6's installation will want to install .NET and maybe a C runtime library form M$. Maybe that link is old and will redirect you to the later version. I'm pretty certain they're backwards compatible if so.

a little update info

hi

i am sorry but i have tryed everything and cant try anymore have not had any sleep for a few days now

there was this program called winpc that really messed up my pc a week ago

and i had to reformat my pc , and i get this error now

media manager initialzation failed ....and something about microsoft sql server desktop engine

.......and nuvtawin .dll shows up all so



and before vegas would all ways start up this little box use to show up server sony thats gone now.
microsoft sql server stops the media manger from running that starts up from sony , and something about i dont have rights ? its my pc ....hmmmm
any ideas what could be going on ....and vegas will not let me play or pull mpeg files into the time line

Try reinstalling the Media manager after the net installs. Be sure to update the MS. I believe that the license for the microsoft sql server is covered by Sony, So if the media manager installed correctly, you should be ok.
