Reinstallation of same software now is missing ETHNOCENTRIC font.

I had DVD Architect 7.0 build 100 running on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, but had to buy a new HD and freshly install Windows and all other software again.

But now opening projects I made on the previous Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with a working Blu-Ray project and rendered ISO: upon opening the same project & build of MAGIX and the same build of Windows on the same PC...NOW it says missing font: ETHNOCENTRIC It's an amazing font, so where did it go? And who knows what else I am missing in the font department?

I've looked through many program folders for fonts in each of the Magix and other Microsoft folders...even doing searches for: .TTF and .OTF font files...I seem to have very little fonts.

Is it weird that for fonts in DVD architect that only 36 items are in the Program Files (x86) folder--should there not be more fonts?

I would greatly appreciate some way to ADD the missing fonts. Seeing as it was within MAGIX software that I was using the fonts and now they are missing--there would be HOURS of NONESENSE to change...hundreds of changes for a 100% completed and working project before the re-install.

Very confused that a clean install of every piece of software has left me with less functionality than the errored up previous mess I was using. Should there not be a font download pack? (.OTF font files) then I could copy them into the font folder??

All I find online is VULTURES trying to SELL the FONTS or offer it FREE and yet it never gets downloaded.

We MAGIX users need Direct Help from Magix because Google is Always pushing for Cashflow or to Scam You!

DVDA, like other programmes uses the fonts that are in your Windows Fonts folder irrespective of which software placed them there.

Obviously you don't have the ETHNOCENTRIC font installed on your new HD. Can you recall which software you had on your old HD that you don't now have which might have installed it. Also search the net as you may be able to download it from somewhere.

When doing pc backup I periodically back up my fonts folder as like you, I've been caught out when getting a new pc.

I stumbled onto this site and have been downloading fonts for free: https://www.dafont.com and your idea of keeping font folders---that's something I will do from now on. Thanks!

Checking my fonts folder I find I have "Ethnocentric Regular". It's creation date is years before my PC was built and years before my OS, Windows 10, so I'm unable to tell what software I got it with.

The only thing that I did not duplicate was I had originally had windows 8.1 upgraded to 10 save the project under 10 but now it’s of just a full reinstallation of fresh windows 10, so maybe some of those fonts snuck in through the 8.1

and I don’t know where all the right places are to add new fonts I know you can do it within the DVD Architech Font folder. I’m not sure where are the other places to put it I would like to see it in movie studio as well and other graphics editing programs like I used print shop 23.

do I really have to install each font …right click install per item it can there be a batch process to just add a few thousand fonts? That’s a serious question because that defont.com site I’m going hogwild downloading free fonts before I copy them into a file folder and activate and make sure I’m not driving myself crazy I have an install each one but I thought like you said keep a folder of fonts and never give them up now I’m just making the mother of all collections. Lol

i’ll take any wisdom you got with those regards to pros and cons and limitations to make sure I’m not doing something stupid.

Put the fonts somewhere convenient. Right click on the file and you should have an "Install option". This then copies it to the Windows Fonts folder and makes required Registry entries. The fonts should then be available to all your software but note after installing you may need to reboot as Windows loads fonts on start up (unless it's changed).

As for doing them in bulk sorry I don't know.
