Relationship of Vegas to DVD Authoring

I'm new to these programs. How do these two programs relate? Do you build it in Vegas and finish it in DVD? Or are they two separate programs.

You capture and edit your file in Vegas, export to a dvda compatible file set (the file(s) you export will depend on what disk you want author to, type of audio....etc) then import to dvda to author and burn a disk.

Vegas is for editing and dvda is for authoring, and yes... they are 2 separate programs

I had forgotten what the word "sleep" means quite some time ago. I know that it robs you of precious time though!
